HOW IT WORKS

The Strife system is how Players affect the sim directly. If a throwdown happens between factions, individuals, ect. then the damage, long lasting aftereffects, and more can be reflected in the sim's build either temporarily or permanently. The entire sim was built with modularity in mind for this to happen, with only a few areas that cannot be fully destroyed otherwise ICly the city would be doomed to total destruction. Any Player in good standing can submit a scene for review, and it does not always have to be something major. This system works in tandem with Enclave and Rankings, the higher rated a Player the more influence they can have. All sim changes are subject to final approval by the Sim Owner.

What kind of changes can be made?

Anything is subject to a conversation for possibility. A character could be painting graffiti of mysterious symbols for their own agenda, a building could be overtaken by a faction and given new set dressing to accommodate their needs, someone starts a garden or Aether harvesting area so a workstation can be put up, or a huge battle was damaging enough to collapse the entire Hana district and making the area uninhabitable until it's rebuilt. The sim has a living population and it will reflect such. Keep in mind, any threat to life support systems like electricity, plumbing, ect. will garner negative attention of the Architect under the global Jurisdiction law.

How often can I submit a change?

Please avoid spamming the intake form which can be found in the Community Index in the Discord. Each submission should have a clear purpose, with provided logs of what transpired, and listing any and all people involved. Sometimes there's back to back scenes, sometimes there's only one a month, if you think it's genuinely a qualifier then please submit! If you spam the system too much with inconsequential scenes you will not be allowed to submit anymore.

How will I know if my submission is approved or denied?

If approved the Sim Owner will reach out directly via Discord or SL to verify the exact place the scene happened and give input on the changes to be made. If textures need to be uploaded the Sim Owner will cover the cost. If you are denied the Sim Owner will still reach out and give reason as to why. You are allowed to counter the denial, but continued blatant arguing will also result in not being allowed to submit anymore.

How long can the changes last?

That depends entirely on the scene! It could last as long as a week or it could be permanent! This determined by how heavy the impact is to the sim, how it affects the Player population, and what the Player's rating is in the Enclave and Rank system is.

Why does the Enclave and Rank system affect the Strife system?

Since the Strife system directly affects the sim build the Player is cross checked in the other systems to ensure malicious Players cannot ruin the sim, the setting, and the community with ill intent. In turn Players who have good standings in the other systems will be given more freedom of impact as a reward.

RESIDUUM log

The change log will start a week after the sim opens.
