All factions are player made. Anyone can start their own gang, mafia, militia, company, corporation, ect. at any time, prior authorization is not needed. However, to be allotted a place on sim and prims the leader and any second in commands must be in good standing within the systems, have an active player base, and story reason for existing. The reason could be as simple as providing assistance at the Community Center or as complicated as trying to revitalize the aerospace program to leave the planet, but it must be more than just causing chaos for the sake of it. Player groups who become recognized as an official faction are approved on a case by case basis, and there is no automatic approval parameters.

  • Midas

    Old Money with a New Face.


    Midas Motors was founded by the scion of a once powerful and still prideful family known simply as 'The Family.' The Family's reach rarely extends beyond the continental shelf, making Midas Motors' founder and egotistical namesake their sole representative in Drift. Chiefly employed by the populace as a means of importing and exporting goods and people across the ocean. Sometimes they even do so through legitimate and legal means! The fees and pricing may feel a little steep, but rest assured you'll always leave thinking you got a good deal.


    Everyone knows it can be hard for an island nation to get ahold of certain goods and services, and with a base of operations near the Docks, if Midas Motors is your first stop, it will be the only stop you need. If there's something or someone you need, remember their motto:


    "It rarely hurts to ask."

  • The Denizens

    Recruitment: Anyone in the Ramshackles/closely tied to them.


    The Denizens have existed for as long as the Ramshackles have. They are a tight-knit community of diverse people with a variety of goals and philosophies, coming together to survive in the lowest inhabited part of The Drift.


    Though the bulk of the faction is comprised of native Drifters, if a new arrival doesn't have a corporate position or helpful connection awaiting them they usually start in the slums. Even those who claw their way onto the upper levels may one day find themselves kicked to the bottom once again. Scavenger, fisherman, gardener, laborer, fallen merc or gutterborn thief... All types are welcome to stay as long as they don't fuck with the neighborhood.

  • Voidsworn Archives

    The mysterious collective of the Voidsworn Archives has established itself in the current era as the authoritative resource on ancient magikal knowledge and the advancement of magitek. While only recently made available to the public network, the Voidsworn Archives now hosts the Grand Library of Mutu - a digital replica of an ancient magik library on the now lost surface of Atma’s moon. 


    The library is rumored to have existed for much longer than it’s been available to the public and is managed by a secretive order of Seers who have taken a vow of silence. Little is known about the upper echelons of the Voidsworn, or the order that founded the library's creation with information long thought to be lost.
